i would have to say hawre's

ive played about the same # of games on s11 as on hawres (somewhere around 10) and ive been abused by pol 0 times. idk why, but he doesnt seem to do anything to me or anyone else while i am there. On the other hand, every time i go to hawre's either solilo, hawre, or secunder come on eventually, and abuse and/or act like dicks.

Also, this one isnt really directed as much at the server as one senior admin there, but hes almost always on. trem.tjw.org. theres an admin there called mh1 hazard who somehow got admin and thinks everyone who picks up a md is aimbotting. he also seems to like to call random kick votes on people (seeing as how he cant figure out how to !kick properly, lol)

also, ill have to nominate my own server. im an asshole and mainly use it to just screw around with bugs with friends, so when someone else comes on and tries to play a real game i dont respond too well. (luckily its only up for like 30 mins every 3 weeks or so)

High-playercount, high-BP servers play as differently from "pure" Tremulous as most of the mods do. I'd personally be satisfied they were treated as a mod and thus had some form of notice on first connect to tell newbs that this a mod, not "Tremulous" proper, and they shouldn't judge the actual game based on it or expect that things they learn there will transfer over to the game proper when they try to play elsewhere.

I'm all for the "diffrent strokes" argument, but I also think that people new to the game join these servers for the high playercounts and gain a wrong impression that they are representative of the gameplay that Tremulous as a whole has to offer.

moving back to topic, every server is pure shit and waste of time. There was some good servers long time ago but they all shut down. This thread explains why.

I think it would be more useful to mention only servers without ANY admins or heavy admin-abuse (slapping for fun, kicking without reason, ...).

SST might be different (I dont know - I don't play there, as I have to high ping) - but obviously there are admins which handle the server in their way. So I personally would not say, that it is a waste of time to play there - there might be people who like these settings (very much players, high-BP,...)

I like lava's idea best i guess. A few additional columns in the browser showing bp, timelimit and ff is useful since that is what defines servers' gameplay.

I've been trying my best for that idea for a while now too. It's not really a matter of adding the columns in the UI. The info isn't sent in the first place.

Neckhole doesnt tolerate idiots. Which is why it is my favorite server. As long as you don't act dumb and follow the rules, hes a nice guy. As long as I'm there, I don't have to deal with idiots, which is enough for me to play there.
