Honestly?  I think you should have left it.  There are enough people that already hate him that would've been all over him in a day or so that he would feel like a moron for posting it, the thread would disappear, and he would've learned from his mistake.

With your intervention tho, now he (rorio) learns nothing and will keep doing things the same (incorrect) way.  I completely understand why he's pissed... I just think tha he is coping with it horridly.

Want to have an honest discussion with an admin? take it to your PMs.  don't randomly flame without citations, because a new mod is doing his fucking job.  He locked an obvious dube/flame/troll thread, and it was justified.

A suggested solution: Perhaps instead of locking threads (and inciting the wrath of retards), maybe we need a thread hell section where flames, off topic, this post and the like are sent outside of the normal trem discussion... and where we can then flame the OP to death.

Bad idea. Nobody wants to admin such kind of forum, and you NEED admins anyway.

I fail to see how a thread where most forum regulars come to flame someone will disapear. In fact, such threads tend to stay on the first page much longer than legitimate threads. It has something to do with the fact that a thread gets bumped up in the first page when someone posts in it I think.
