True to some extent, but fairness comes into play as well.  If a Mod abuses his/her power, it'll be pretty obvious by the fact that their popularity is lower than the others.

Most people on this forum claim to hate flamers/spammers/troll, so they (the upright, non-noob majority) will vote for the fair ones.  Since this majority obviously  :roll:  never does anything to require moderation, I think we'll get a good look at who's doing their job well and who isn't.
