NULL is a clan created when a group of players decided to band together. We are connected through IRC, Forums, some what through Teamspeak, and sometimes Instant Messaging. We intend to scrimmage and match any clan. We also intend to improve players and let them know the clan experience.

Love the name, cool stuff.

Wow, this week should end up being recorded as "The Week That a Good Amount of Clans were Born."  :P

Good luck Ray.

Yeah, we were coming up with a name and only two of them were well liked.  NULL and FRAG, frag seemed less meaning full so we went with NULL.

We talked about being confused with /dev/null or the similarly named, but figured it'll be alright.

Null doesn't necessarily mean "zero".  In mathematics, it (usually, anyway) means "unknown value", and its symbol is Ø.

duh there is no unknown value in maths
only use of null in maths is zero or a value that makes a function zero

Ever hear of something called algebra? it's an entire section of mathematics involving figuring out unknown values

define unknown!
let c be a an element of C
here c is not an unknown. you dont use the term unknown in maths. maths does not deal with unknowns

We aren't here to argue the value of null, you can go to wikipedia talk or whatever for that.

Oh and value C is Value C it is not unknown, it is merely a variable.  Most irregular numbers are unknown.

Oh and ann, I took the definition from a dictionary. :D

and then later on null is known as an empty set. As in a set that contains nothing.. which is not unknown. It is an existent set, but can't be represented by units because there are none. Just like you have 0, but if you hold 0 grangers up in the middle of a vacuum.. there is nothing in your hand.

It makes sense in a programming environment in the same way. You have something made to show nothing. A value to show non-existance and emptiness.
Thats without checking wikipedia.. just lots and lots of math.. :/.. and programming.. and if wikipedia has something else to say screw them i'm right and they are wrong.

Infinity can technically be unknown because it is a theoretical value with no finite number. PI can also be considered unknown because the final value hasn't been computed (ie infinite), and some problems are unsolvable by todays mathematical knowhow and therefore the value of those funtions is unknown.

I would join but i'm already in to many non-existant clans.. :/

yeah mathematicians pretend that there is no ınknown in maths
so they give them names
for arbitrarily large unknown -> infinity
f(x)=0 -> x is a solution of the equation

maths sucks they are trying to make everything concrete
you can make assumptions or definitions out of your ass :(
(but I want to)

gettin back on subject, i'm actually pretty intrested in this clan. I may try out later (a couple weeks, when school is over and all of theese fourth quarter reports and finals are done)

Located in US central time
I have my off days,  as do we all, but i'm pretty relaxed in game
have played trem since the end of august, registered here in september
will be on IRC more often
I'm a team player, just a little noob at scrims, have only done one in zirra and i played horribly crappy (i know i know, i'm sorry drac :( )
Have a GUID
I don't abuse, unless i'm pretty ticked at a guy, or just fooling around and know the guy will probably understand (as in, friend or know the guy)
also hoping for +1 for honesty

When/if you still want to join, be sure to start a new thread in our forum.  Which the link in the original post pointed to.

This clan isn't focused around skill. :)  Though we do scrim and have matches.

Win lost record. 8/14/1

Now while that might not be great, we are showing signs of improvement, the first few times we played NT we lost fairly quickly. The most recent match we actually were able to pull off a few things.

We remain active and alive while a few of our members are on vacation or elsewhere. We have scrimmaged quite a few well known clans such as SGA, NT, DS and a few others.

Now while we don't intend to win, we intend to learn something. :) Better throw us something new.
