"Cannot find weapon31"
« on: May 16, 2007, 03:27:36 pm »
I just installed Balance Mod. It works, but when I connect to my own server and try to spawn as a human w/ a construction kit it gives me the error "Cannot find weapon31" and returns to the main menu.

Help?

I'm still blaming Risujin and outdated QVMs. Try replacing your game.qvm with this one I built (name it game.qvm first of course):

edit: oh yeah, you'll need to use tjw's tremded with this one.

That fixed it. Thanks.

I assume if someone joins my server they will automatically download the mod & use it?

What do you mean? The Balance Mod VMs are SVN 879. This is old but not incompatible with either TJW's tremded or the 1.1.0-compatible clients.

Outdated as in, not revision 16 of balance. The QVM on your website is the wrong one. It doesn't work. The one I compiled from the patch on your website, does, as demonstrated in this very thread.
