Trains/Moving Brushes

What can be done to make them?  Given that no maps had any real trains, and that the only moving brushes were doors and elevators, I was inclined to think that it was not possible.  However, at the bottom of volcano there are some platforms that move in a circle and otherwise act very similar to elevators.  Can they be moved around a track, or just a circle?

u know speaking of trains and moving brushes... id love to see a map, that actually has moving trains / high way cars and you can get hit by them, because they move back and forth... it be pretty cool... Ex;

Car = -- with direction = < or > = Car with direction left = <--

So... Here is the highway below

4 lanes

Cars in the dark where no1 can go at the end of the tunnel like so:

<--
-->

Now when the car goes this way > the car that points > is gonna go there. So it makes a loop like so:

<--
LOOP DOWN
--> and over here making a loop UP and a circle basically...

Making a circle loop and looking like its a highway or a train station...

Actually USING the moving trains is not very useful in the Q3 engine because(as one of the maps in ET has one) the engine has a hard time keeping track of players on top of fast moving platforms.

In the said ET map, the tram that allows multiple players to ride in moves too fast(but is otherwise the same speed as the real thing), and sometimes you are actually launched out of it or you somehow end up outside of the tram itself.

They would be more for protection than for speed, but would also connect two otherwise far apart (in travel time) places.  Would somewhere between walking and normal running speed be safe?

You can get hit by them though, structures die, humans die, aliens get pushed into the electricity. It's lots of fun to +goon jump onto them though. In devmap you can noclip the train, then do the noclip command again to get in the train and watch it twitch since it can't move with you in it.  =D

Hey, why don't you read the manual that most likely came wityh GtkRadiant? For me that's the place where I learned about Quake3's func_train (dis)functionality.
