If you can sort by ping, check out some nearby clan servers.
Before the BoT merge, COM/AoD was quite close.
PM Rawr, he can probably help. (I believe TinMan may also be willing to offer some advice). They are both cool, and usually very helpful, and at least one of them is located in the PNW.
Check out tags on SST, Dretch*Storm, OPP & BeerGarden (all good servers for t3h n00bulist).
