Half-Baked Ideas

If you have any ideas that you haven't had the time to think through or just want to give down-right-silly suggestions, feel free to post them here.

I'll get the ball rolling. I suggest being able to evolve into an Overmind. Upon doing so, the previous Overmind promptly explodes. It would have no extra features other than the ability to view others happily move around while you're pathetically fixed to your spot.

For the sake of balancing, the humans are able to buy a Reactor-suit. This CAN move.. but only just.

Unlike the Overmind, the Reactor-suit is more like a repeater as it does not generate it's own power.

Like the Reactor, the Reactor-suit is fitted with a 'zap', and no other weapon can be held while wearing it. Nor can you buy armour (as the Reactor-suit IS your armour). You can't buy a battery-pack (because you are one) and you can't buy a grenade (because I say so). You can however buy a jetpack. This, like walking, is movement.. just very slow movement.

Also, dretches explode like nukes and humans are made of chocolate.

Who knows, one of your half-baked ideas might have something suprisingly inspiring in it.

From what I can see, that's quite true (mathematically speaking) as this thread has several more posts than that users' two posts.

Seriously though, why send this thread to the bin when it's purpose is to be a bin itself, for the more eccentric but enthusiastic suggestions users here like to pour forth? Think of it as a pallet of all the rough colours that may be interesting and inspiring but perhaps not so useful in themselves.

By the way, in response to your sig I'd offer the alternative of taking 31 from the next prime number (13256278887989457651018865901401704671).

Aliens can fuse together to make super aliens(combine hp/ attack). When they unfuse the remaining hp will be distributed evenly among them.

A huge leviathan alien, that moves slowly. Dretches can mount it and shoot acid balls from different kinds of *tubes* it has. Humans get a carrier/battleship too with the same idea

you got that backwards, dretches are the ones who can shoot tyrants. they learned to do it shortly after the humans came at them with reactor guns. (i wish meitz's stuff didn't 404 )

We need Adv Adv Grangers, they are the size of dretches and are are invinsible in the air.  They will try to land on a humans head and steal there body feed it to the Over Mind and turn it into BP.  Also it shots Granger spit that instantly spawns eggs where it hits, eggs attached to a unarmored human FTW?  Get a few on the ceiling and humans will destory their whole base for you.  
             
             
Tyrants could be covered with eggs with dretches randomly coming out of it.  They can also eat human structures and turn them into eggs.  We also can't forget that tyrants will crap an egg every time it heals back up to 400 hp.  
Oh and each stage dretches get bigger and gain the ability to freeze and human that puts there reticle on them.  The only way to kill them is to get lucky with a luci or chaingun.

I think aliens should have adv dretch which can pounce, and grab on to you like a leech.

Ok, how about a adv tube which shoots MD shots at humans.
