But David, the problem is that OpenGL games are in minority in the Windows world. And unless one pays for an OGL game (eg. Quake), I bet that in most cases he won't bother.
Just look how many people who reported the famous OpenGL "bug" have a post count = 1. That means something. There are many more that haven't even bothered to look at the forum.

he is right - it really is written in a complicated way. Even on the Quake support site this is explained more clearly.
But don't know, maby it was the FAQ writer's intention to scare off people who know nothing about the OS they use.
But, as I wrote somewhere before - it's not my business. I don't use Windows.

PS. The subject of this thread is formulated very well - there certainly is something wrong... (not with anything related to Tremulous, of course)
