I'm sorry! :cry: You're not the first person to point this out.

I never intended to join a clan because I felt like it would make the game less about having fun and more serious. I had been given so many clan invites and never accepted because I 'knew' I'd always prefer being solo.

One day Mercury[F]lame (and others) decided to get me to join. They knew about my solo policy so they devised a cunning plan. They offered me the red pill or the blue pill. xD I didn't know what they were talking about and after some confusion and misunderstanding I accidentally accepted.

When I realised what I had done I wasn't sure what to do but thought how I liked the members of flame and that it might be fun to see what being in a clan is like. I'm still friends with many other players just as much as the [F]lames, but now I take part in clanwars which has added a whole new level of depth to the game.

So sorry again, but at least I take part in clanwars now (you can take it out on me there ^^).

People have so many different conceptions about clans. Personally i have never toke so many fun than playing with my team (for example, i m not taking fun anymore on public servers). Maybe it make me less independent but maybe i want it  . I m glad to depend of my team because i like to support them and i love all the fun they give me back.

Imo, in a kind of game like tremulous, the top five players have to be in a clan (or having all what i ll say), the bests players is not the one who will make xxxfrags/mins but the one who will make win his team by his teamplay, decisive action.

The best games i did was ended before anybody got 10 frags. And many time, the "men of the match" is not the one who made the most of frag but the one who permits to win the game by one or many awesome actions.

A builder could be the men of the match too, imagine, you re attacking in human s2. Alien defense is very good you have to retreat. You re retreating with few life, no ammo, and you 2 teammate are in the same case, when suddenly around a corner you meet 2 turret, e repeater and 1 medi (far away from you main base), all the dretches are down by turret, you re safe, you can rearm/regen and attack again without letting the time to alien for reorganize them or rebuild ... Victory is close, Builder won the game !

TE, do you still play? I kinda miss playing with you and most of the other guys on AKKA.

No Malt, I don't play anymore. Trem got to be pretty boring and repetitive. Only thing that came close to a semblance of a challenge was a clan match and even that got to be fairly repetitive. I'll probably reinstall once 1.2 comes out, by then there'll be a shit load of maps I don't know and it'll be challenging once again.

wow this is a long post. My top players
Bloody demon, crazy goon although his human skills are not so complete
Odin, he is very complete on taking down a base and he is capable of using every weapon and class.
Iabz, yet again, when spectating him in his match v OPP, another yet great goon. Took down Akioash, Beerbastard and Twofacedrat(all had helms and shotties) by himself. Pretty impresive.
Anger, when was the last time I saw this pro. He is my personal hero although. I can say he can be a real killwhore sometimes.
Lakitu7, must be one with his alien instincts but can be a horrible human. No offense.

But this is just random, in Tremulous, the best player must be able to screw an enemy base, win  even when having a nooby feeding team or when he joins s1v s3 match and still win. There is so many skillz that a player can be characterized with. We sometimes mix up killwhoring with pwning. Also, a good player must have a completely nice attitude. Some people may be good, but they may complain everytime they get pwned themselves. Those people are annoying. So stop adding to this post and make yourselves better tremulous pros
