Linux Installation Help
« on: June 04, 2007, 09:44:55 pm »
I'm trying to install Linux on 1 of my computers. It starts up fine, and begins to load everything, but then the screen goes blank and I get a message from my monitor that says -

Code: [Select]
MESSAGE
MODE NOT SUPPORTED
H: 46.4KHZ V: 86.8HZ

It's Ubuntu Linux, an HP dx2200 desktop computer and a ProView 19.1" Monitor (1440x900). Please help!

Looks like it's trying to do a refresh rate that isn't supported for a certain resolution, try running tremulous at a lower resolution or windowed?
Code: [Select]
Linux: ~/.tremulous/base/
Mac: ~/Library/Application\ Support/Tremulous/base/
Windows: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Tremulous\base\

get an install that does not require any fancy WM. use the text-console to do it.
