.dm_69 went AWOL

So I recorded a demo just now of someone who was aimbotting. However, I can't seem to find it anywhere on my computer, but I can still view it in my tremulous client. Windows xp by the way.

Yes, I looked in /tremulous/base/demos (the folder hadn't been created)
Yes, I looked in Documents and Settings/.../application data/tremulous
I even did a computer-wide search for the file, nothing came up.
Yes, I searched the forums.

This may be a stupid question, but where did it go?

Documents and Settings/.../application data/tremulous/<modname>/demos/ where <modname> is the fs_game of the server you were playing on at the time you recorded the demo (when you started recording (i hope) in the unlikely event fs_game changes between maps)

Windows: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Tremulous\base\demos\
Linux: ~/.tremulous/base/demos/
Mac: ~/Library/Application\ Support/Tremulous/base/demos/

Thing is, there is no demos folder in the tremulous folder in application data. Just a nearly empty base folder, with ptrc.gfc,autogen.cfg, and games.log .

well...search for a 'demos' folder?

make sure you turn on search hidden files and folders

sometimes it goes to C:\documents and settings\NAME\application data\tremulous for me (no local settings in between this time)

so you might want to try there too

Your demos should be in the documents and settings area.. rare occasioans I do see them in C:\programfiles\base\modname

I think the next version should just default make all recordings and pictures extremly user friendly and put them in C:\Program Files\Tremulous for win users... and than put shortcuts on ur desktop for the big n00bs
