....smoking is the best thing to do if you want to die a slow horrible death. There is no reason to get yourself addicted to such a stupid habit like that. Have stress? Chew some gum or go running.

@David: Yes, smoking does kill you, very, very slowly. I've done the math for it.

1 Cigarette = 7 Minutes of life taken away
20(1pack) = 140 Minutes of life taken away (2hrs+20mins)

8 Cigarettes = 1 Hour of life
205 = 1 day of life
75085 = 1 Year of life.
That is a shitload of cigarettes.

actually, i heard just 1 drag of a cigarette takes 5 minutes off your life. i think i remembered it from when a cop came into our school to talk about this a few years ago. i am not sure though.

I heard you loose a month for a ciggar.... things like that can never be proven though.. you don't know how long someone would have lived if they didn't smoke, you just know that when they have a cigarettes related massive heart attack and end up paralyzed in 1 leg  can't climb stairs anymore or get too stressed out and a drastically reduced lifespan that whatever the reason for starting was, it wasn't good enough. You don't just end up dead in a lot of cases you end up in a situation like that that you have to live through, whether its chemo, or not being able to use part of your brain after a cigarette related stroke at 52.

and chewin gum isnt that healthy at all (u fake ur stomach that ur eatin sumfin and it produces useless acids, blablabla etc + great ingredients replacin the sugar etcetcetc)

..not sure if thats right, but by your mark gum and speed up your metabolism? I've never had acid reflux from having gum back when I used to get it very easily.... and I don't care for sugar in a lot of things so I use a lot of those mystery fake sugars anyway, which have only been proven in extreme cases to produce mild results in old age. You can actually get diarrheas if you chew too much gum from the sweetener but.. carrots ftw

I just want to state that I am a happy smoker, and anyone saying smoking is bad for your health should take a close look at the garbage they infest their bodies with while they eat, drink, walk around in the city or even worse, when they step into their car and slowly make us all suffocate on their filth.

Most of these things are entirely inaccurate

Stating that a cigar takes away '11 minutes of your life' is preposterous considering you haven't taken into account whats in the cigar, and how much of the cigar is actually inhaled (considering you do not inhale a cigar)

Saying one cigarette takes of a certain amount of life is wrong too. For example, If i were to smoke a menthol cigarette i would begin to crystallize my lungs obviously decreasing my lung capacity, while if i smoked a non menthol full flavor my lungs would slowly dissipate.

Think of lights compared to regulars. A light uses one less sheet of paper and has air holes that burning tobacco escapes from, though its just as long as a normal cigarette. A lot of the tobacco from a light cigarette is burnt in to the air, and therefore, is not hurting you like a regular cigarette. A time can not be put on each cigarette.

I choose marlboro smooths...
