Does anyone know how many domain extensions there are out there?
By that I mean, .com, .org, .edu etc. etc.

He's wrong.

There were 7 TLD, then they added 13 more a few years back (.biz etc)  (and theres arpa...)

And there are hundreds of country specific ones.

And then there are old ones, like .gb or .nato, that are now defunct.
