While watching it just think that thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people sang that on the way to battle.

The Panzergrenadier divisions were the best armoured fighting vehicle fighting units in the history of the world.

One example is this:
One tank and its crew in the face of 50 soviet tanks faught to till they could no longer - they ran out of ammunition. The next thing they new is there were 22 destroyed soviet vehicles and the other 28 were retreating.

Sadly it seems that the great story of the Sturmgeschütz did not survive as well as those of the Panzerkampfwagen (Tiger tanks, etc.) in general history, even though they may have held a greater role. The last rolling vehicle showed in the video is likely a StuG.

Technically it wasnt the actual Germans, they were forced or mentally conditioned into the idea to kill them, just like any soldiers.

Its difficult to blame anyone.
You can blame Hitler for foolishly battling on two fronts, but you cant blame him for the deaths which happen on the battlefield.

Soldiers kill each other - its what they do. During WWII interestingly quite often soldiers from one side starting respecting those on the other side.
Germans often gained respect for Australians and the British while the British often admired the Germans.

You are responsible for your actions no matter what training or conditioning you go through and no matter what is expected  or required of you.
The loss of life on both sides in both wars was extremely tragic though..
