The HUD Catalog (we're still WIP)
Welcome to the HUD catalog, a (somewhat) up-to-date list of all HUDs available for Tremulous 1.1 and 1.2 GPP. If you know of a HUD that's not on this list that you want added, or if you notice that a HUD here is an outdated version, feel free to send me a PM here with a link to the HUD, a photo of it (if you're the creator), and a link to the profile of the creator. HUDs do not have to be posted on Tremulous.net/forum but it's certainly preferred.

If you feel like doing all the work for me, you can format your HUD submission like this:

HUD reviews/critiques can be submitted with a HUD submission or amendment or individually. Reviews should not give a HUD a (subjective) numerical rating, but rather focus on giving information about the objective features of the HUD. (ex. "The white health bar, while not as specific as a number, stands out well against dark backgrounds.")

Yes, this catalog is full of typos, misleading links, broken downloads, and BBcode fuckups. If you notice something like this, feel free to post and make it known. I try to keep this as tidy as possible, but with 30 HUDs to keep track of, it's difficult for just me.

The HUD FAQ
Q:
How do I install a HUD?

A:
The following has been taken from the readme of the oitcz HUD. Any file names pertaining specifically to that HUD (oitcz_install.cfg & oitcz_uninstall.cfg) should be replaced with the relevant HUD's files (i.e. hellrider.cfg or superpie.cfg). Keep in mind that there is likely a readme packed with your HUD that has more specific instructions, and this method should be used as a last resort.

1.Installation/Upgrade

  1. Delete any old ui and vm folders or pk3s.
  2. Put the included files and folders in your base folder:
     Linux: ~/.tremulous/base/
     Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Tremulous/base/
     Windows 2000: C:/Program Files/Tremulous/Base/
     Windows XP: C:/Documents and Settings/Application Data/Tremulous/base/
     Windows Vista: C:/ProgramData/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Tremulous/base/
  3. Run Tremulous and open the console (press ~).
  4. Type "/exec ui/oticz_install.cfg" and hit ENTER.


2.Uninstall

  1. Run Tremulous and open the console.
  2. Type "/exec ui/oticz_uninstall.cfg" and hit ENTER.
  3. Delete ui folder and vm pk3s.

Well, I use a good webhost(unless you count the recent downtimes) called Zymic. Should be enough to suit your needs. I'm not trying to advertise here, just a suggestion.
Uploading the files to my server... Octic's page is now at http://no-tolerance.info/oticz for your infomation. HUDs hosted at Mediafire can't be downloaded due to an error, or due to expiry date. I think Mexel's HUD has been deleted off http://www.the-deft.com/downloads/ since I cannot find anything related to Mexel's HUD there. Thank god Rapidshare Happy Hours are active now.

I've been looking through the topics, and it seems that you need to manually edit a file for the HUD to work...how about an installer?
