Granted that he hasn't been that original, at least he's trying. I'm glad to see people are interested in giving their time and effort for the sake of the community. Please don't be so quick to discourage these people David.

As for the icons themselves, I like the translucent effect witht he second one. The first is a little too blurry (it's hard to make out the middle symbol).

I only voted no for the first one, however, I love the second. If the blue outline on the right human half would be.. deleted, I guess.. then it'd be perfect.

Yeah, the scribbly look of the blue outline isn't good. You don't have to delete it, just smooth it out.
