Looks to me it was just alot of n00bs trying to play and you got lucky, if I was getting owned by a n00b and he had that many kills and I was still at zero, I would just leave server and save myself.  w/e good luck with that score.

I don't think ping would have made a difference...lol, unless a lot of humans left immediately before this screenie, each of those guys died about 85 times.

Well, I wouldn't go that far. If you're teammates have much higher kill-scores than you, that doesn't make you the best player (though if you were the builder who saved the team from losing, then you might just be).

The most 1337 players are the very good players who regularly challenge themselves by facing players at their level.

I've found out that hiding from noobs is much more fun than just killing them. Evolve to basilisk and hide. Occasionally scare the crap out of them by falling on their head and killing them soon after. Really, it's a lot more fun than killwhoring.
You can tell they're jumping out of their pants when they start shooting in random directions.

I think you underestimate just how stupid these people are. He wasn't just AFK once.

There was a locust, but he got bored and jumped off leaving some genetic material behind. If you listen very carefully, you can still hear the locus for the locusts bored-gene complain about lack of entertainment.

This was made in direct parody of those pics, to try to illustrate the point that they're really pretty stupid when you think about it -- after all, anyone can set one up.

I was figuring it'd be pretty much evident that it was, in fact, staged and not a real game -- sadly, judging by the vast majority of responses, it doesn't look like I made it obvious enough.

I'd hoped to get really elaborate with it, but there were some issues with the main picture, and in the long run, the only really usable part was that that I show here.

The kills were gained by me sitting, as a dretch, over the telenode, where the humies spawned and were pretty much instantly killed, all the way up to 180 (179 was brought into existance by the 1 death by suicide).

I spawned as Adv. Granger the last time, to kill the telenode with, but I accidentally Readied too quickly, so that didn't work as I'd hoped.

The full picture, if it was made, would've been really interesting -- illuminated the center where the scores are (while making the rest of the field darker), displayed more text proclaiming my l33tness and the phailure of the 'noobs', and had a few other fascinating details.

So that's the story behind this pic. MaraFeeder contributed the vast majority of deaths; the other chap showed up late and only died a little in comparison.

Hope that those of you who got it really enjoyed it, and that any of you who didn't will now.
