What is the l33t status good for anyway?

What is the result of having l33t statuses on the forum?

It gives members something to bitch about.
7 (23.3%)
Everyone becomes loyal to his/her superior.
1 (3.3%)
More messages that have been cared for (people think about what they post).
0 (0%)
Lots of useless posts (people post the first thing that knocks their mind up).
10 (33.3%)
A better community and more and more posts in overall.
1 (3.3%)
It does not have any effect.

The user l33t status and the user post count are somehow like ranks. They may have expected effects, but are they really good for anything?

@OP: post-count status is a feature of many website, especially gamer forums; they have little or no real meaning, other than to give those with lower post counts a feeling of inferiority (if they are that easily humbled), and incentive to spam more
