Having had read this thread, I wish to point out a few things:
1.I certainly agree that Player1 has changed.
I remember introducing him to these forums some time ago.
Judging from what ive seen the recent month or two, he has changed into a flamer and general pseudo-L33T character.
It pains me to say this - I dont like insulting people - even less those who I helped find their way around the forums, but he seems to have turned into a e-yob.
2.I certainly should fix my ways of flaming Evelesoa (still cant spell the name, apologies :-? ).
He is a (alleged) hacker/cracker/whatever, but he doesnt deserve constant flaming from me. Even less so from me when I like to view myself as a more helpful member of the community.
3.Ive become aware that I am not the only person who has noticed this community has become more and more unhelpful and rude.
It seems the communty has split into two halves - the friendly and helpful, and the spamful and spiteful.
This is a depressing fact which will, as stated before, probably lead to the death of the forums.
4.My anger at the Polish ban on SatGNU has unearthed again. Sure, like stated in many places, its their server, so they can do it, but I still find it highly offensive regardless. Even more so since im Polish (Yes, there was a Polish guy often on the SatGNU server for the past month ! OMG ! ONOZ !). I still dont understand the ban though - while I have seen a few annoying Polish, ive seen the number of annoying people pretty much well spread across countries - Chat spamming Spaniards, teamkilling Americans, whining French, ive seen 'em all - while perhaps the amount of griefing Polish is perhaps a few percent higher than from other countries, it is in no way highly significant.
Besides, many Polish get pretty crap pings this side of Europe - they are next to Russia.
5.I realise I have a tendancy of starting sentences with 'I', and somewhat repetative use of the word 'friendly'. im working on this though
I just thought I would get...'involved' in this discussion in light of the recent circumanstances.
