Hey guys,

an idea just struck me, while using the toilet (that's right man!) - why don't we have client-side models for some future version? They would have to fulfill certain criteria, be based on the original ones for example, stay within a certain size, and so forth.

Then you could take a picture of your face and use that for your marine, or have a tyrant with bigger ears, a basi with a mara-style wiggle-waggle tail or a granger that would have eyes like, er, this guy http://www.marinemammalcenter.org/store_new/images/3411%20elephant%20seal%20big%20eyes%20360.jpg. So whaddaya think?

I WANT TEH HOT PINK BBOX SIZED MODEL FOR EVERY ALIEN CLASS. AN DEN, FOR HAMUNS I WUNT DEM TO HAS DABBOX SIZED MODELS, BUT ALSO HEAD WILL BE PINK...ALSO...BUT DA TORSO N LEGGINGS SHALL BEZ WHITE

making custom model options will just make it that much easier for me to do this >_>

I don't mind different race humans e.g Asian, Black and White. But no need to change proportion of the actual models.

Well, as I've said before, different human models would be good, but client-side models is just asking for trouble - solid-coloured bbox-shaped models, square heads with "bite here" written on them, etc. The point being that client-side models is a system that easily allows some to gain an unfair advantage over others. All players in a game should be using the same model set.

Rofl, nice work!

Taiyo.uk: k, all good points. Then let's have some more pre-made models at least. It would be nice if you could tell ppl apart... I'm often having lots of problems for example to stage an attack with somebody because ppl are so hard to find when there's lots of them looking all the same. Similar things go for aliens.

Hell, even Q1 had different colors for players...

Yes, I will replace all alien models with fluoresent green cubes for ease of aiming.
If I can't change the models, at least let me use my own fullbright skins for Aliens.
