Paradox's mod and hud versions 3.1 (DEPRECATED)

Currently, this is all deprecated, so i might re-release it, or i might not. If you want a broken version, I might send you one on special request.


After a lot of updates, i have released version 3.1 of my hud and mod.

Mod Changelog:
  • Removed old teamoverlay and radar mod due to requests, replaced with black text shows grey and chat baloons.
  • Completely new hud (more on that later
Hud Changelog:
  • Completely new hud design, based off of Jex's ideas for a tremulous 1.2 hud, featuring:
    • All information located in bottom left corner
    • New vertical stamina progress bar actually works.
    • Goon barbs moved to lower left, like human stamina
    • Poison uses skull and crossbones symbol next to evos and health cross.
    • Removed all the crazy colors, now uses only blue and red.

    If you want em, here are the SHA1 checksums for the 2 files appropriately:

    Installation:
    Mod:
    • Download the file
    • Place it in your tremulous base directory
    • Load up trem
    If you are having problems with pure, extract the pk3's internal folders to your base, and run it again, it should work then.
Hud:
  • Download the pk3 to your base
  • Load up trem
  • In console, type
    Code: [Select]
    /cg_hudfiles "ui/paradox.cfg
  • Load a server, or do a vid_restart.
Uninstallation:
Full mod:
Delete the pk3

Hud:
Run
Code: [Select]
/reset cg_hudfiles


Credits to this go to Jex for the hud design, and i just took some of his stuff, and made it work with 1.1.0.

It's kinda hard to tell from the screenies as I haven't gotten around to downloading it, but it looks as if the info in the bottom left is a little hard to read. Is that just from the photo? Because otherwise I think that you should make the info a little bigger.

Well, the stand alone hud is bugged, due to a glitch with googlecode, and i cant upload a new one for a while, so here is the address you should use.

There is no ui/paradox_menus.cfg
got a error because paradoxHud.cfg reads set ui_menuFiles "ui/paradox_menus.cfg" :cry:

Thanks for the support odin.

I know there have been problems with the installer now.

Dont use the exec properties, do it the old way, as in /cg_hudfiles "ui/paradox.cfg"

As for uninstalling, just use /reset cg_hudfiles

OK, this is everything I did:
1. downloaded just the hud, and enabled it properly. It looked like this: http://kumquat.quickshareit.com/share/shot00313a016.jpg
2. I removed the hudfiles. Then I manually unzipped the mod, and I got just the "standard" hud.
3. Added the hud to the mod, and got the same graphical errors as linked above.

I tried to use it on SST using the correct methods but it gave me the same error as listed above aswell, now I can't play with my GUID enabled client.

Hmm, if you cant play, uninstall all the files and run reset cg_hudfiles.

you could convince a server op to put up a pk3 containing the hud.
