Map vote between games, not during.
« on: August 18, 2007, 01:57:05 am »
Hello. :)
I suggest that we can vote between games, not during them, like UT99 with "mapvote" plugin.
This, in order to improve investment of team play.
Thanks.

Perhaps it would be better to make the mapvoting policy enforceable? For example, a server operator may decide that there are to be no map votes after five minutes into a game, but afaik there's no way of disabling mapvotes to implement this. It would be handy to include enable/disable commands for map related votes in the config file.

Hmm, I never actually thought of making a patch for no mapvotes after x minutes. I'll throw it on my eventual todo.

yes plz do.  and work on what the OP stated, after game end mapvoe would shave some time of having to wait for the next map to load before starting up a mapvote.

you could also have a new vote (or even the current vote) set nextmap to choose the nextmap without interrupting the current.
