Will there ever be a tremulous 2?

I searched and couldn't find a similar topic, and the idea may seem unrealistic but its something to think about.

Will there ever be a tremulous 2?
If so, what engine?
When?
Who will participate? Catch the ears of the old trem team, people in this community who are skilled and decide to band together?
Is it too soon after the release of trem?
Would it fail, Will it pass...?

The engine is rather old, but the game itself has lovly gameplay and is fun, but it's still rather limited IMO.

I am working on something that could be tremulous 2.0
I am removing hardcoded stuff, adding scripts instead (20%)
UI face lift(not the hud skinable menus) (70%)
vehicles(5%) pickup items (85%)
it will be released after DNF. title is suolumert
