Trem doesn't need that much improving, but:

i) What about a pack that could make humans 'off-radar' to aliens?  Probably not get used that much, but it would be nice to get all stealthy with the aliens for a change..

ii) A blaster upgrade for builders in stage 2-3 - nothing fancy, just a bit stronger than the current blaster so there is at least a vague chance of defending yourself against the smallest aliens

iii) Medics - it's a great idea!

iv) Different types of booster - perhaps one that has less poison, bui can do a Bas-like disorientate attack?

Some kind of support class for humans would certainly be a good idea. However in my experience that which makes humans return to base is ammo, not health.

the first idea sounds pretty good. maybe at like stage 3 the humans that equip say the light armor can be hidden from alien radar. since at that stage their really vulnerable to tyrants and such. also builders with light armor can be hidden and can run around an rebuild easier just as the graners can when idiots are dressed in the battlesuit.

I'd rather have radar invisibility on (advanced?) basilisks. They're the least used alien, and for good reason. Besides, radar invisibility would really fit them with their stealth fetishism.

Speaking about new items... how about an Energy Shield for humans  ? Mutually exclusive with light armor or battlesuit. It would reduce first hit by 60 points of damage, but would take 6 (or something) seconds to reload after that. During that time you'd have NO protection whatsover, not even as much as regular light armor provides.
Not to make humans stronger or weaker, but to allow different playstyles.
f you have a demo of ass-kicking basilisk playing against experienced opponents, ESPECIALLY in later stages, send it to me.

Improved blaster against smaller aliens: the actual blaster is quite effective if you do two things, none of which rely on power.

a) Aim.

Better power won't help if you can't hit the broad side of a barn INSIDE the barn

b) Movement.

Stranding still/crouching will of course get you killed. Learn the two things sticking out below your ass are helpful for DODGING the smaller aliens. Circle strafing is a useful skill to learn. HAs been since Wolfenstein.

also think about a deployable medi-station and armor supply you can buy (independent of reactor, building points)you can carry (if you do not have a primary weapon)

Hmm, a special that doesn't give medpacks and heals slower but also replenishes normal ammo and doesn't require power could work. It would allow humans to maintain a forward position much more easily.

I have to say though that the good human teams I've seen were very much fighting forward even without a forward base so it's not really needed except to compensate for the lack of teamwork.
