Behavioural Research Map returns
« on: September 01, 2007, 06:11:45 pm »
After shelving this project for a while I returned to it. It is now a whole lot better looking and far more complete. PK3 is linked below and some screenies may follow later today.

Obviously there are still some issues including:

1) Some small areas are void of light (easily sorted)

2) One of the rooms is still just an ugly room with no detail put it, It mere serves the purpose of a staircase, will be sorted soon.

3) One or two of the detail items are still untextured

4) The warm room in the choice chamber will have some simillar structures as the cold one in the next release

Any other issues please tell me so I can fix them before releasing my Beta release very soon.

I made a quick look at the map, and it isn't bad!

The only thing that anoys me is that the filename is BeReaMa.pk3 and the map A!baser1b.bsp. What's the point in that?

Anyway, I look forward to play this map online. :D Keep up the good work!

Yeh I renamed the pk3 after packing because my naming system had gotten excessively complicated. I will have that sorted out soon.

I am pleased that you like it and thanks for looking.

The naming system isn't that complicated...

Code: [Select]
map-[mapname]-[version].pk3

Hmmmmm, far better naming system than what I was doing. The main reason my naming system was so poor was at certain intervals I kept putting random characters at the beggining of the map name so that it would be at the top of the list of maps to compile.

Nice detail. I'm glad it doesn't have the same level of greeble as other maps such as Pulse (oh god...) or groundsource.
Meow.

Can an admin set my name to Amtie please?

Yeah, it got shelved again when I went back to uni. Will be setting it going again soon as exams are done. I'll see if I can find the current version though and get it back online.

Good to hear somebody is interested in it. Have got home briefly and found the release.

Updated the fist post with the new location, still not returning to work on it for about a couple of weeks yet, but when I do it should all look awesome.

Anyway, please let me know what you think of it, and any suggested improvements are welcome, even if they will involve a lot of remodelling.
