Screenshots are not saving

While doing a screenshot a message is displayed - SCREENSHOT0012 saved (or sth like this, dont renember exactly) My problem is that in fact it isnt saved to the screenshot folder in base nor anywhere on my hard drive...

What should i do to repair this? I lost many fantastic screenies this way :/

Windows - C:\Docs&settings\local settings\app data\tremulous
Linux - /usr/local/games/tremulous/base (IIRC, also could be /home/bla/.tremulous
Mac - Throw in bin.

thorn is half right about windows, completely wrong otherwise
windows: C:\Documents and Settings\<you>\Application Data\Tremulous\base\screenshots (up to date client)
C:\Documents and Settings\<you>\Local Settings\Application Data\Tremulous\base\screenshots (slightly older client)
linux: ~/.tremulous/base/screenshots
mac: ~/Library/Application\ Support/Tremulous/base/screenshots/
replace <you> with your user name and base with the mod you were playing when you took the screenshot.

not without causing issues (you can get a new client from trem.tjw.org/backport if you don't want them in a hidden folder, but you will need to copy everything to the new folder)

Hmmm another problem The newest 5 shots are saved in .tga not .jpg (38 jpg's (last one made a week ago) and .5 tga's)
wtf? I can only open them by an internet browser :/

My only idea is that these .tga's are screenshots made from the console by using /screenshot

Exactly. If you want JPEG, use /screenshotJPEG
