Yes, they are just trolls and griefers.  I recommend Remove It Permanently for Firefox users.  I am no longer bothered by dipshit image signatures.

Sadly i have the view that moderators have to have unfiltered perception of posts and sigs to do their job well. It's not that I get angry over sigs but when I see a post with a few lines of text and half a screen of image in one post I always remember that every sig seriously makes a thread uncomfortable to read.
