Version 1.0 release 2, needs a lot more work but this is it so far ^^

notes
install:
drop the 'ui' folder into your tremulous directory (if you dont know where that is you arent leet 'nuff)
type "/exec ui/install.cfg" into console after starting the game (dont include the quotes)

changes
human build timer is where clips left would appear, alien's is on the bottom of the screen
alien crosshair is opaque when boosted (no other indicators for boosted)
hummy inventory is on the left and scrolls vertically

It looks like you based your loading screen off of comps hud (good choice) but somehow managed to suckify it.

It looks like you based everything else off of comps hud (bad choice) and somehow managed to make it even worse.

I really dont get why so many people mess with the +scores screen either.

well i like it, its simple. we really dont need giant boxes for those little numbers.

I can't download from wikiupload.

Browser is Firefox.

When I click "Download", it takes switches that button to a button which says "Get". Above it is a Captcha, the field for which I filled out.

Oh, and one more thing:  I will now try to explain to you why so many people mess with the +scores pane:

Those giant scrollbars have literally no purpose other than to eat your valuable screen space.  Once you put the stagekill information on your HUD by default, it is no longer necessary to have it displayed in +scores.  If you've played the game for more than five minutes you don't need the labels to tell you which side is humans and which is aliens (also, the fact that one team has dretches on it is a clue).  The spectator font is way larger than it has to be, so you can fit more spec names on the screen at one time and still have them be readable.  The +scores box is a seemingly random size - it can be significantly larger without covering up any other information.  And, lastly, I find the +scores pane to be overly busy and unattractive.

If you werent being so sarcasmic, i might actually care.

and as for fucking with the +scores, yes, if youve played for a day you know where all the shit is, and you can just focus on what youre looking for. I really dont find putting the information on the screen in the top corner of the screen very convenient, as i have to concentrate in a corner instead of pressing 1 key thats an inch from my pinky for half a second to see the giant stage kills appear in the middle of my screen.

you make a good argument for someone who likes to nitpick at every single little thing...but imo it isnt broke, so dont fix it. scroll bar? ignore it. font too big for you to see 40 players? dont play on sst. Just like with the default hud layout, i am against lame changes. the only hud ive actually liked better than default is phreaks. ive made my hud accordingly. if youre used to playing with some random/trippy hud, go ahead, but that wont stop me from telling you that i think it looks like shit when you go to post it and try to get it into the hud catalogue.

its in the same place as trem's default hud below the server name but i forgot to set it when i took the screenie -_-'

And really, this is an ok HUD, but whats with all the gay colors?

Seriously can someone make a HUD that actually looks good and actually kind of combat like, not like these "Tremulous meets Teletubies" style HUD.

the "gay" colors you are referring to all started from phreaks high visibility hud idea. then the shit hit the fan and we have HUGE FONTS WITH RANDOM COLORS
