Holding a mapping comp is hard work, so I was thinking that in addition to Mapping Competitions, we should vote on the best map of the month. Winners will be able to say that there map was voted "Best Map Of November, 2007" in the map's loading screen, and this way, there will be no problems about restrictions.

I will continue to hold mapping comps, but a "Map Of The Month" idea could really to some good for all you mappers out there...

Sounds like a good idea only problem is people will vote for their freinds maps rather then the best

3 months, half a year, a year. But not a month. There are too few good maps released monthly. And I do not wish to see some noob map shouting "Best map of the XXX 200X!!"...

A month is a bit too soon, It would be hurried.
As wel as this, yes, people may be biased, so hopefully we can relyt on the maturity f the forum to prevent this
(in other words, yes, there will be bias, lots, of bias.)
