Help getting a linux server running
« on: September 28, 2007, 03:42:09 am »
I'm getting the classic
Code: [Select]
Server crashed: G_ParseSpawnVars: found # when expecting { error which usually signifies that the program can't find /base/vm/game.qvm. But, I have it installed in all the directories trem is looking in
/usr/local/games/tremulous
~/.tremulous/
and it still won't work. I'm running ubuntu 7.04 feisty (stable) with lakitu's latest 5.x qvm

Correction: It signifies that, or a Tremded / Game.qvm mix-up.

I'm guessing the latter. Use the search function, I'm too lazy to dredge up an answer.

I wouldn't make a new topic without having used it first. Also, I redownloaded all components, but still get that message. maybe my computer is tired. :/

which tremded, which game.qvm, what command line was used to start tremded, and while you're at it, contents of ~/.tremulous/base and /usr/local/games/tremulous/base
