Why the hell can't you just leave the community alone?

Do you have some sick disease which requires that you make an ass of yourself in public forums for video games?

Also, nothing will ruin Tremulous.

Try as you like, the powers of justice are stronger! Admins For the Win!

Why don't you just start earning some money by getting a job, instead of handing out good advice because you are not allowed to spend your dad's money?

@OP
iirc you need a commercial license from ID if you want to sell derivative works from their source.
I might be wrong as I never checked the exact license ID released the Q-source under, but I am pretty sure they forbade the sale w/o at least demanding some kind of royalty.

Taiyo.uk

Just to clarify, ID has released the source to Quake, Quake II and Q3A under the GPL. Commercial projects can be developed on this code (i.e. free engine, commercial content). Those who wish to develop commercial engines from the Quake code (e.g. Half-Life engine) will need to arrange a licensing deal with ID.

For future versions of Tremulous to be commercial, this would require a complete rewrite of the current Tremulous content unless all of the authors can be contacted and agree to commercial licensing of their contributions.

Commercialisation will also escape the point of the project; to create a free game.
