Well I know everyone may hate this Idea but the Tremulous developers need money to make a game. So why not make Tremulous Into a real buy-able game? Theres no need to have lvls on the game just aply the new bot mod to the game for people who dont want to play online (or dont have it. Well its just a suggestion that could make the game come out sooner and mabe make this a real power house game. Anyway theirs games with map & event download so tremulous map updates could work.

If you mean releasing a game that has mods in it (Balance, Unlagged, etc.), then it's no different from commercial expansion packs.

If you mean releasing a game that is a modified version of the Quake3 engine, then it's no different from the dozens if not hundreds of commercial games running off a modified Unreal engine.
