map : Eden Corp. Marine Cloning Facility (beta 3)

This map has been extensively reworked since a3, which was never supposed to be public anyways, hence the new topic.



Eden is set in an underground cloning station designed by Eden corp. with the objective of cloning a new set of genetically engineered
super-marines. However, aliens have infested incubator life-support, and the humans must chase them out.

The whole map plays on a man-plays-god kind of theme, so I tried to create a map that felt like the exact opposite of the garden of Eden. It is supposed to look dark and depressing, and I hope i managed to achieve that gloomy atmosphere I was aiming for.

Looks really good, nice work TRaK. Just the alien base seems to be a little wide open. And yes, add dead human bodies in some of the cryo tubes.

and try to make the machine a little more detail, like a status board in front of them

Maybe it's just me, but I find it kind of frustrating that lousy beginner maps and box maps get more attention on this forum than the maps that actually have work put into them.

The attention they are getting is mostly flaming and praise from other "beginners." The good maps don't get much attention here because everyone is too busy playing them.

Yeah, this looks good Trak. All I've got for experience is /devmap also, but it's definitely got a lot of potential.

Can we get region names in say_team for the final version?
