joining a game i host

recently, my friend has set me up with everything  i need to run our trem server. i can run it normally, or with mods. but i myself cannot play in them. i can join, but the the game in my server is to glitchy , extremly slow, and unplayable. but while runing my server, i am able to join other servers. a simply cant play my own. both my friend and i are stumped. little help? thanks.

your computer/interwebs is too slow to both host a game and play the same game on the same box

do a 2. install of tremulous in a separate folder for the server. Don't use the same install for playing and hosting.

lol i use the same folder for hosting and playing and it works perfect.

however if i do it on a windows 95 it gets laggy
