Can't Spawn

The server I'm hosting won't let me spawn in devmap. Any ideas? For humans it just disconnects with some weird error, and for aliens when you try and spawn it says you have to wait 'till your build timer is finished.

sounds like a badly patched QVM to me.

Doesn't devmap mode allow the loading of files outside of pk3s? You might want to scour your base folders (both of them!) to see if you have any vm/cgame.qvm or ui/ folders lying around which might make things difficult for you.

Can anyone else connect to your server and verify your problem?

I already have sv_pure 1, and I don't have any extra qvm's or ui/ folders.

I had the same problem as you , but i didn't get disconneted. Once i put the vms-svn931-backport-4.pk3 into my base this will happen. There's something wrong with it.

Edit : for me the human will say that it cannot built on the surface but ailen is the same as what you said.

the only vms's or svn's I have in base are vms-1.1.0 and arcade-svn971-13

You should never put two copies of pk3'd files in your base folder.

Separate them into mod folders.

like

~/.tremulous/base (default game)
~/.tremulous/arcade (arcade vms)
~/.tremulous/tremx (tremx vms)

etc....
