Sorry for doublepost, but... Hints!
The game is a kind of RTS / RPG, one of the only ones of its kind for GBA.
You play the role of guard for a group of pioneers, who are captured by an enemy who holds them in a dungeon. You make your way through the dungeon by solving puzzles using the pioneer. Depending on how well you do (not letting them get killed, killing enemies) they follow your orders better and faster.
