Tremded

ok i try to start tremded and all i get is a white screen and a mouse Does any one know what might be wrong

create a shortcut to tremded, right-click the shortcut and click properties and where there's something like  ["C:\Program Files\Tremulous\tremded.exe"] add +set dedicated 2 to the end so that it's like this  ["C:\Program Files\Tremulous\tremded.exe" +set dedicated 2] without the brackets and  with the quotation marks

ok when i click on shortcut it comes up with blue console and thats it and still does same thing if i click on tremded in the main tremulous file it stays white still

the blue console is the server console, please read the server setup guide if you don't know anything x_x

the blue console runs through a list of commands and then opens up trem.

It's waiting for you to start a map using the "map" command.

The server is not a client - just a server.  When the server console comes up, the server is ready for clients to connect.

If you want to connect to it, you need to then run a client and connect to the server.  That may be on the same computer, or another one.

Does the blue console run throug a list of things and then do nothing? If it does look everywhere and maybe the might be something said. Otherwise just reinstall tremulous.

A: ability to read
B: ability to think - you fail here
C: clicking mouse and typing on the keyboard
D: knowing the difference between directory and file
E: knowing why the program stops working when you move some important file into wrong directory
F: knowing how to write a plain text configuration file (no specific configuration knowledge needed)
G: being able to find out what to type in the configuration file to make the program do what you want
H: command line basics
I: knowing how a server works in general
J: ability to solve common errors
K: networking basics - you must get at least here to qualify
L: ability to solve weird errors
M: ability to compile your own server

well if it is on the same computer then in tremulous type /connect 127.0.0.1 in the console of tremulous and it SHOULD work if it doesnt then its prob a port problem
