Why was the 'what a noob really means according to.......' locked?
I know i shouldn't ask and that this topic is going to get locked as well but there wasn't anything offensive there or anything. Seeing how this is the off topic topic, locks shouldn't be given out like that, except when it disturbs the forum that is (think of 10k pictures, porn or lots of cursing)

You know, it's pretty much standard procedure on most other forums for a mod to make a post in a thread before he closes it giving some sort of reason. I'm not sure how our moderation team missed out on this. :)

I did that. But this forum has such a large amount of headstrong members who don't seem to understand the rules that I and the rest stopped bothering.
If you want witnesses ask kobrakaine. He's had his discussions with me over some decisions.
Fact is these days totally stupid topics get instant lock. Derailed threads usually either get a warning to get on track or a cleanup without mention. Any attempt by the mods to directly warn members of the obvious simply results in them doing exactly that which is against the rules.
