Some new ideas

Some things that I have come up with:

Humans:
  • flash gredade, a grenade that will blind everyone in it's area for a couple of secconds, both human and aliens.
  • Shades, instead of helmet, your def goes down, but you gain more exp.
  • Stelth suit, aliens won't see you on radar, but it's gives you no extra def.
  • Mines, a builder can carry one mine, that will go of if anyone trigger it, both human and alien, alien wont see the mine but humans will. THe mine will also detonate if the builder change profession.
  • Combinated armory and med-platform, at level 2 or three, builder can build a combined platform that cost less than the two together, hav a def 77% more that a normal armory.


Aliens:
  • Bee, a flying creature, does moderate damage. Can not hover, but can fly in all directions. If landed it can not inflict damage.
  • Advance bee, the evolution of the bee, can shoot a laser beem that makes moderate damage. flyes faster than the ordinary bee.
  • Advance tyrant, cost 9 evo points, have 600 health, is somewhat bigger than ordninary tyrant.

I like the "Stealth suit" and "armory-med-platform" idea.
The advance tyrant would just be too much imo :)

In addition to shader (or more instead of wearing):
  • Bandana, Raize your def, accuracy and speed, gain a moderate health regen, but you won't gain any exp during wearing the bandana.

nice ideas, Av tyrant would be a bit much tho  :wink:
some other idea might that Humans had a kind of heavy assult rifle like a m60 or the one from Red Faction 1.
also having some kind of maned turret cose auto turrets seam to lack the range.
for aliens maybe having the builder that spits the stuff out, make it sticky so humans get stuck in it for a while.

ps the bee would be fun to try and hit lol

As a replacement for light armour:
  • Cape, you can jump twice as high and your jumpometer (?) always recharge, you don't take any fall damage.


another back pack:
  • Medpack, gives a moderate health recharge to you and humans in the perimiter.

Ack, please no, dont degrade this to Duke Nukem quality with silly powerups and over-the-top upgrades :cry:

Also, its been confirmed that there will be absolutly no flying aliens, they wanted them all to be ground based.

How happy we are today. This is just ideas, be please to came up with your own ideas, not just complain. My idea was upgrades that give you something but takes something other away. Also can you please confirm your seccond sentence? If then people would like such a alien, why woldn't they implement that?

AzaToth, the thing you've got to keep in mind is that this is a Sci-fi tactical FPS, not City of Heroes! ;) Magical capes of jumping, shades of 1337ness, and suchlike, do not fit in with the established game universe (such that there is), or what the developers are trying to achieve (from what I can ascertain).

As to flying aliens, it would easily destroy what balance has been achieved so far - between the humans and aliens, and amongst the aliens themselves. Jetpacks would instantly become pretty much redundant, for one...
In any case, this isn't a democracy; the developers have said no, so we're not getting them. This is a Good Thing IMO.

There's always that "mod" option under the main menu, nei? :)
