On the other hand a competet goon will eat an uncareful chainsuit.

Really competent goons will have decent chances of being able to eat any chainsuit anyhow, although any chainsuit not watching its back is easy food for any goon whatsoever.

Well, I'm really useless when it comes to pouncing, but it's nice to have something which can win in a stand-off with a helmeted painsaw wielder at S1, whiltst standing on top of the armoury and being out of the line of fire of turrets... that was a good day. 2 spawns, 1 armoury, 1 turret and 1 reactor destroyed by me in only two assaults.

I think your wrong Tyrant can pounce too You need  a hi place and carge to pounce on head and chomp But tyrant pounce harder be cause you need a hiplace

but oh well, anyone can be bored of goonz after playing that much trem.

hmmm... at clan wars usually there are no goons before stage 3. almost every clan is using marauders to disrupt human groups, then the dretches are going out to pick cherries. when humans are attacking in groups, there is no sense to face them with a goon, as even riflers can kill it in seconds because of its enormous hitbox. if there is a goon, its attacking from behind, or doing quick action then running away asap. not to mention that they can teamkill other aliens pretty easy.
unluckily at FFA games there is always some free meal for a goon, because the chicks are running alone on the map unarmored. <-this ofc makes them quick s3.

i think that chomp dosn't need skill, but pounce can need skill if you want a realy good pounce
pounce vs hs 1 is too easy, pounce at s2 is better ^^ (i test that in my server goon and goon+ at s2 (and tyran 350hp) , its more fair that goon s1 and goon+ s3)

I think poor tyrants rly needs that much hp =400. what would make their life harder is the slower regeneration rate. there would be more chasing so campers would come out ^^
