Guess what kids, its time for Techhead's random mod idea of the month!!!

John Wu mod:
All players move at half speed (3/6).
All projectiles (pulse, barbs, blobs, lucifer, flamer) ALSO move at half speed.
Bullets (chaingun , shotty, rifle, mg-turret) move at stock pulse rifle speed.
Mass-driver moves at twice stock pulse rifle speed.
Lasgun and teslas stay hit-scan, i.e. speed of light!!!

Here is where stuff gets interesting:
If you have had 1 kill in the last 2 minutes, you get to move at 2/3 (4/6) normal speed.
2 kills, 5/6 speed.
3 kills or more, normal speed.
The better you are, the more you get to act like Neo.
Oh, and to discourage feeding, if you have died 2 times in the last 2 minuites, you move at 1/3 (2/6) speed. More than twice, 1/6 speed.

If you think that this will make kill-whores unstoppable, realize that after 2 minutes without a kill he will be back to normal.

feeders moving at 1/6 speed, while killwhores move at normal speed, with either a extremely overpowered lasgun, or a tyrant eating humans that are practically standing still.

Im with pl0x with this one; that is one shitted-up mod idea.
It just doesnt work out.

All the kwhores need to do is just get a lasgun, kill a few bloody slow aliens, watch themselves get faster, others get slower, till the killwhores dominate and theres no way to stop them, unless all aliens go hide.

Its bad.
My favorite player is Jesus, because everything is forgiven when he respawns.

This mod sounds absolutely crazy.

Do the humans's bullets speed up as they speed up?

It damn near neuters the turrets and makes the alien's defenses much stronger.

Sounds like if an alien could evolve to a marauder, they'd be unstoppable.

Bullets and other projectiles move at a constant speed, regardless of player kills. Cooldown between attacks DOES scale, though, for humans and aliens.
Hives and trappers ALSO move at half speed, just like everything else. Acid tubes do damage half as fast.
Mara jumps would naturally be in slow motion. Jettards would appear to be slow as dirt. (They are moving, really!!!)
As nothing is coded, anything and everything could be subject to change at the whim of whoever wants to code it. I just like inspiring people who need inspiration.

but really. Get some kills, earn lasgun and you are invincible. It is not hard for me to get 2-3 dretch kills in a slow-mo. After I got lasgun, its the end of the game, dretches are basicly grangers and you are moving faster them even without a sprint.

And on at least barely populated server 2 minuties without a kill for the front line is quite rare.

Agreed in some part. But i dare to look for good parts of this mod: small lag or a rather high ping would less efect on gameplay ;)
maybe there should be no lasgun at all and deleting stage system? High speed s3 vs snail-spead s1 would not be to quiet fair. I think there need to be discouragement for Team Killers eg. 1tk=-3kills(in Your speed count)
And idea is not that bad as it seems at the start...(just get this lasgun and stages out of it and would be quiet playable)

Lasgun vs. dretches in slow motion is a slaughter, but the larger aliens can often do surprisingly well -> marauders can place a series of perfect headshots, for example. If the dretches are clever enough to use stealth and pick their targets wisely, a half speed game isn't all that unbalanced.

Some people being slowed and others not = insanity. The bad kind.

Bad idea... kill whores are almost unstoppable now.  Can you image them with everyone else moving at 1/2 of their speed??  You realize that their kills would double or triple their normal amount?  (Which is like 50-100 per game!!)
