Issue with TJW Mod.
« on: November 19, 2007, 09:46:53 pm »
I've been searching around the troubleshooting (reputation +2) but I have been unable to find a selution to my proplem.  :'(
You see, i've been having an standard OpenGL error (resolution) and cannot run the mod. Now here is the issue.

I can run the standard client (original trem.exe) but not the TJW Mod exe.

Anyone know a selution? :booster:

I had the exact same problem, here's the thread where I originally posted and resolved it.

You need to install the drivers created by your videocard vendor. Usually this means either Ati or Nvidia.

"...created window@3,1 (2054x1561)"

And start by using a standard resolution .)

Go to "C:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\Local Settings\Application Data\" and rename the Tremulous folder to something else like tremulous_old.
If there isn't a Tremulous folder there it might be somewhere else, check these locations:

"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Local Settings\Application Data\"
"C:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\Application Data\"

If it's not in those, browse around in C:\Documents and Settings\ for a while or perhaps start a search for tremulous in it.

I did, since I read the FAQ before posting this I knew it would not work. ???

Nvm, i'll have to do without TJW mod.

Not really :)
You just need to _read_ what it's telling you.
You are using TJW's client (or are trying to) and not his mod.
So therefor you should also read his howto on his client, preferably on a fresh/clean install.
