i got tired of pretty maps with limited base locations

so heres one with gobs of base locations that will one day also be pretty.



yes i know about the ghostlights, yes i know its ugly as sin but its a work in progress.

think supertankers working on a map called office so it will be renamed to something else.

its an OK starting idea for a map, but you need to have much more like a layout, and a theme. here advice- try to be precise and use as many textures to make something plane look GREAT. you will explode when my map replacing atcs comes out(mybe by 1.2 ill finish) any1 wanna help pm me.

Keep trying, because to be honest this looks pathetic. Try reading a few more tutorials, Rich Diesel's and Bubba's tutorials are good.

yes thank you random newbie for pointing out that my map looks like shit even after i mentioned that it looks like shit.

but as a basis for comparison lets see your map.

I was trying to be helpful. Why is it whenever I try to help someone it gets shitted upon? You just showed me a perfect example of why I shouldn't help in future.

My maps? Well, to be honest, mine aren't Ancient Remains quality, but I do have a fair bit of knowledge in idtech3 mapping and modding. Currently I'm working no two maps, one for Tremulous one for another quake3code based game, JKA. So far, they're looking okay. I just wish there was some way to copy ICARUS scripting without using it.

You started off posting your honest opinion of the map. Saying it looks pathetic and then offering advice can make your post seem like one big sarcastic flame.
