Server not in server browser
« on: December 02, 2007, 02:02:37 pm »
Goodafternoon,

My tremulous server is at 89.220.115.71:30720
It is started correctly with +set dedicated 2, and it even sends heartbeats to master.tremulous.net.
But my clanmembers cant see it in the server browser, but they can connect by IP.
I opened the following port ranges:

30700 - 30800 UDP
30700 - 30800 TCP

Does the master server uses another query port, or do you know an solution?

The master will query your server on the port that the server uses to accept incoming connections (by default, 30720).  That should be the only port you need to open and forward, and only UDP at that since the game doesn't use TCP packets.

Make sure they've clicked "Get new list" in their client, other than that I'm not sure what's going on without doing some packet sniffing to see if/where something is dropped.  They can always add the server as a favorite by IP, and then it should show in their favorites list.

Could my stupid modem (a speedtouch 546) be the problem?

No... the part of it which acts as a modem works fine.
It's the part that thinks it's a router is screwing you.
