LOW fps using backport

When i play tremulous with backport from tjw i got fps problems;/ it drops to 5 etc in base's but outside them it is normal. i got openSUSE 10.3 (i586)  KDE:  3.5.7 "release 72.2"
my Computer details are:Processor Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.40GHz ram 512 graphic card GeForce FX 5200.I got graphic drivers from repository.Can you help me please?I need to use backport cuz i have admin on few servers and i dont want to lost it.I didint have this problem before when i was using windows but windows sucks;P

Get the proprietary drivers for nVidia.
From my experience with openSUSE, they are by far more effective than the standard nv kernel module.

but i dont have this problem when i use standard trem version... btw from where i can download this drivers? give me detailed link please.

I run Trem at 1280x1024 full settings (minus AA and AIF) and i get at least 90 fps most of the time on my 5200 and when I move it to my 5500 screen I usually get about 70+...
