As outrageous it might sound in the topic name this is a really minor change that just might modify the balance between as1 vs hs1 to a better one. (I even have a little idea for as2 vs hs2 too but that is not that much well thought out...)
Here and there I often see players stating that humans in stage 1 are generally much weaker than aliens. This is true, but the gap is not that significant as it's often stated and most of the wild ideas would do more damage to the balance than good. My idea is simple, yet it might give that extra missing little punch to the human team they'd need. The idea is to give the rifle a clip size of 40 instead of 30. This would make humans reload rarer, thus giving them the extra one second they would need to kill the running goon/mara and generally give humans a better chance of killing a goon on a server that is not oversized, meaning that there is no bulletspam. (20+ players on most maps are ridiculous IMHO...) Rest of the guns are good the way they are.
The other idea might be a slightly bigger adv. mara zap for as2. Or maybe less armour protection against it so aliens would have a little more chance of killing of those nasty pulsespammers and still survive the hit and run attack on them. (I thought of this as I often heard this one too: as2 is weaker than hs2 wich is even more true than the first block of this post.)
If you like/don't like the idea pls state why you think that, not just state that it sucks or there was no point in makeing this thread.
