To jump, or not to jump?
« on: December 15, 2007, 04:27:58 am »
We all know how valuable stamina is. I'm sure everyone has been in a position where they are trapped outside of their med with 2 hp, desperately waiting for their stamina to recharge before the next tyrant comes and gives them a new orifice.

But what about when fighting? Do you jump when the aliens attack, making their bite hit your legs and doing minimal damage? Or do you use that stamina to accelerate your movement, in case chasing or dodging is needed?

Jumping generally for speed/obsticals. Also you shouldnt be stuck waiting for stamina because turrets are blocking then its a bad base, rebuild.
Furthur more random poll options are pointless.

When I'm armed with a shotty and am facing of a goon without a helmet, U tend to jump to avoid getting 1 hit killed. Note, i only jump once, after that, i can just dodge his hits and dance around him.

I mostly use jumping to sprint and strafejump away from aliens, sometimes it comes in handy on slopes like in ATCS's tunnel.

Speaking of ATCS, it can sometimes be handy to jump down the first ramp to avoid walking into a headbite around the corner

Are you only playing against Aliens who attack from the ground? What about jumping up into a headbite? Yeah, jump up, jump up and get down.
