Triggering light shaders
« on: December 18, 2007, 03:44:58 am »
Very simple question:

Is it possible to trigger (with a button for example) light shaders. and if so how?

If it isn't, I guess I could create a lights, and add normal texture and just beneath that add a light entity, which I believe can be triggered by linking it to a button (Ctrl+K).

Thank you

The only thing that could come close is lightstyle. And not even then. http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2322

So for what I gather, you can't trigger shaders, but what about standard lights?

And just another question, why isn't "styles" in the little help text?

We cannot cover everything and triggering lights won't work since most lights are baked and q3 does not use true dynamic lighting.
