Unnoficial Tremulous Server Project
« on: May 18, 2006, 08:05:16 pm »
Well, having ask TJW and a few others a few questions, i have started to make a server guide, with the help from a few other users.
If you are interested in helping with the guide, visit and join our google group, and give yourself a nickname.
http://groups.google.com/group/TremServer

The more people that help, the better it gets.

PS: If this could be made official, that would be great.

PSS: Any moderators or adminstrators on the Tremulous forums need only approach me, and they will become mods on the group.

The group is now the Tremulous Server Project. The group will still produce the guide, but now, we are focusing on discussing all servers, and i hope that it could be a place where users would feel comfortable reporting abuse, and administratiors could find it a comfortable place to discuss topics, griefers, and other things.

*bump*

Although I know very little about running and configuring a server, its quite obvious that some kind of unified documentation is needed. All this whining about TK'ers is mostly because there are still a lot of servers that are running stock 1.1.0 (with the sarge bug included) and don't have any active admins.

I was thinking of something in the likes of the Tremulous Mapping Guide, as PBWiki allows for several people to work on it without having to make it publicly editable. I said unified because TremBot isn't the only option available for admins, and its worth mentioning what both addons have to offer.
